Key Responsibilities

1. Installation and Assembly

• Set up new equipment: Install and assemble mechanical systems or machinery according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Ensure correct setup: Verify that machinery and mechanical systems are correctly aligned and calibrated to meet operational standards.

2. Maintenance and Repair

• Routine maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks to keep mechanical equipment running smoothly and prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot and repair: Diagnose mechanical issues, identify defects, and repair or replace components as necessary.
• Preventive maintenance: Conduct regular inspections to identify wear and tear before it causes malfunctions.

3. Diagnostics and Troubleshooting

• Diagnose faults: Identify and troubleshoot issues in mechanical systems, such as machinery malfunctions or inefficiencies.
• Testing systems: Use diagnostic tools and instruments to test the performance of mechanical systems and identify the root cause of any issues.

4. Testing and Calibration

• Perform tests: Run tests on mechanical systems, components, or machinery to ensure that they meet operational standards.
• Calibrate equipment: Adjust and fine-tune mechanical equipment to maintain its optimal performance.

5. Safety and Compliance

• Follow safety protocols: Adhere to safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
• Report hazards: Identify and report any potential hazards or unsafe conditions in the workplace.
• Ensure regulatory compliance: Ensure that all mechanical systems and processes comply with industry-specific regulations and standards.

6. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain records: Keep detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance work performed.
• Report progress: Provide regular updates on the status of projects or maintenance schedules to management or engineering teams.
• Document procedures: Follow established maintenance and repair procedures and document any changes or improvements made to systems.

7. Collaboration with Engineers

• Work with engineers: Collaborate with mechanical engineers to design, modify, or optimize systems and machinery.
• Provide feedback: Offer insights and suggestions based on practical experience to help improve the design or functionality of mechanical systems.
